0.8.6+ observations-五级105短喷子HEAT蛋穿深和炸逼溅射砍刀

0.8.6+ observations

A few short points I have put together from today’s leaks:

In 0.8.6, 105mm HEAT shells (Panzer IV, Sherman) get a bad pen nerf (from 150 to roughly 104 pen), unless they keep “special” heat shells for arty (unlikely, it’s not like that now). Bye bye T5 derp.

Also, splash for hightier arty shells gets reduced, roughly by 10 percent. This doesn’t have to be a rule, but it’s like that with the new T8 GW Tiger P arty, which means the GW Panther and GW Tiger will have their splash reduced too, as they use the same guns.

Oh and as for the upcoming tier 10 Waffenträger E-100: schematics are already made and it’s confirmed it won’t have a 210mm gun, so (unless it has the same gun as Jpz E-100, which would be lame), we are looking at 150mm L/68 – verdict: most likely more mobile vehicle with VERY high penetration, armor is yet to be seen.

0.8.6 – some arty changes –炸毙挨刀[少量肉翻]

Hello everyone,  好吧各位,086炸毙大概整体砍刀15~40%左右!
a small batch of some supertest info today. However:

1) This 0.8.6 supertest info doesn’t come from from my usual source, so I cannot confirm its validity.

2) The supertester himself claims this info might be outdated soon, because on supertest, vehicle properties are changed between each round. It’s just here to demonstrate the way Wargaming is thinking

– arty will get a rate of fire nerf of roughly 15-40 percent:

GW Panther will (with its top gun) fire once per 31 seconds 自走豹装弹改为31秒/发

– accuracy and aiming time will be nerfed: Some examples – russian B-4 cannon had 8 sec aiming time and 0.8 accuracy as of the supertest. GW Panther had 0.7 accuracy

Extending the WOT german tech tree – Porsche Tank Destroyers

By Zarax

Disclaimer:
This is a purely speculative article that takes into account WOT german tech tree and uses historical tanks to speculate possible new tank additions.
While trying to keep the articles faithful to history some room for inaccuracy is allowed within these rules:

1) No tank or tank part will be 100% made up, at least a mention about tank role and vague specs are needed

2) Components not planned for the tank are allowed, provided it wouldn’t create grotesque inaccuracies like putting a gun that would obviously cripple a tank under its weight

3) This will be limited to WWII plans, anything post war risks to be too arbitrary to properly balance

IS-7 – history and development

Author: Viktor Kitov (EU forum)
Published and slightly redacted by: Silentstalker

Today, we have a guest article here by Vikto Kitov about the IS-7. Enjoy!

In the spring of 1944 after  lifting the siege of Leningrad at the Kirov plant which was partially destroyed, it was decided to manufacture the ISU-152 self-propelled artillery. Tank designers were returning to the Experimental Plant № 100, after the evacuation. The leader of the team was chosen to be J. Kotin. Under his leadership, the development of a new heavy tank which was to be well armed and heavily heavy armored. Itreceived the factory designation “Object 260”, and later – the index “IS-7”

 Official 8.5 english tank descriptions

The official leaked english descriptions of the 8.5 vehicles. I think that considering the 8.5 patch notes leak and the fact this blog is now officially banned on the EU forums, it hardly matters anymore. Also, as for the DW2 description – as far as I know, that tank was not tested, so I have no idea what is it doing there.

Excelsior
At the end of 1942, the Churchill tank’s armament was deemed insufficient. New tanks, the A31, A32, and A33 were developed as new infantry tanks. The A33 was developed by the English Electric Company. The LMS Company participated in the development of suspension for a new tank. Two vehicles, which differed greatly from each other, were manufactured. The A33 was set to go into production, but in 1943 the decision to cancel mass production of the Churchill was reversed, and the order for the A33 was not placed.

Sexton I
In 1943 the Montreal Locomotive Works started mass production of the Sexton SPG, developed on the basis of RAM II. A total of 2150 vehicles were produced by 1945, of which 125 were designated the Sexton I.

The Maus That Roared –鼠哥II惊现

Edit: to “smart” people thinking this is an April’s fool – republished it, it’s after midning here, no – it’s a serious article. Happy?
Hello everyone,

one of the iconic vehicles of the Third Reich and the testament to Dr. Porsche’s ingenuity is the Maus, mostly because it is (and probably always will be) the heaviest tank ever built. Most people know the vehicle itself, but there are other (less known) vehicles (in two cases derivates, in one case a different vehicle) bearing the name Maus. Let’s have a look at them.

Sources I’ll be using: H.Doyle: Panzer Tracts (20-1, 6-3)
