The M6A2E1 tank simply does not meet up to the current standards of other Tier 8 heavies and the Tier 9s and 10’s it frequently faces.

First lets look at the armor.
191/44/41 mm hull armor.
先来看看装甲吧。车身装甲191/44/41mm

Lets do the side and rear first. Say a Tier 1 tank shows up in your match, he can pen you on good rolls, some don’t even need good rolls as they have a gun that can pierce that with every shot. with gold they all pierce you.
先来看看侧面和后面的装甲。假如说有个1级小车出现在了你的战斗中,他可以在人品够好的情况下炮炮穿你,部分甚至不需要依靠人品,它们的主炮强大到足以直接炮炮穿,如果用金币弹的话,它们都能打穿你。

On to the front 191mm that is great right? nope that is 191mm @ a very limited slope so your effective armor is not much past 191mm. Tier 7 heavy guns and Tier 8+ everything pen you from the front/side/rear with every shot they don’t need gold they don’t even need to aim for a weakspot the only time you bounce is if they hit at an odd angle, trying to angle your tank as well is bad bad bad as that 44mm side limits you extremely in it.

it’d be best not to angle considering how thin your side armor is. and hull down wont do much do to the guns elevation depression and alpha angling already (angled armor if the tank was sitting flat)
考虑到你的侧面这么薄,最好的选择还是不要去摆角度了。卖头也帮不了什么,因为主炮的俯仰角问题,还包括车辆本身就有的角度(坦克在平地上的角度)

The Turret? 191mm as well on the front except that it’s “Side” armor extends into the front so you have 89mm weak spots on both sides of your gun and a large weak spot of around 41mm above your gun and again no slope on any of that.
那炮塔呢?正面依然还是191mm,但是它还是一个从“侧面”延伸到正面的装甲,所以你的炮塔两侧依然还是只有89mm弱点,在你的炮上方还有个大约41mm的弱点,而且这些都是不带角度的。

When you look at 191mm frontal you think wow it’s a monster when compared to things like the Is-3 or Tiger 2 or T32 but your wrong, they all have slope which again this tank does not, in the end their frontal armor is just as effective, in the end the front armor ends up being average unless used with extreme angling which is hard to do.
当你看到纸面数据上的191mm的时候你会觉得我擦这货不错啊,尤其是当和什么IS-3啊,虎王啊或者T32作对比的时候,但是你又错了。他们都有角度,而你这辆车没有角度,它们的装甲等效很高,但是你的装甲除非在摆一个极限角度的时候,否则你的装甲一般是没什么用的。

Things to note.
需要注意的一些东西 

Overall size, including the hull and the turret were enlarged, it is now taller and longer and wider then it had been before. (and it’s already taller in game then a Maus when in real life it was shorter)
整体大小,包括车身以及炮塔都被放大了,现在它比以前更高更长了。(现在在游戏内它比鼠式都高,但是现实生活中应该矮一些的) 

Turret armor nerfed significantly. Behind the gun shield made from a solid 191 to 0 armor, side armor angles decreased, roof armor angles increased showing off more off the weakspot by the vision port. angle of the cupola hatch changed making it weaker.
炮塔装甲大砍。炮盾后面从191mm砍到了0,侧面的角度也变少了,天花板的角度变大了,把观察孔那个弱点暴露给了敌人。车长观察塔的角度也改了,让装甲变得更弱。 

Hull wise lower and middle front plate reduced in angle quite a large bit dropping effective armor by a large percent. The only “Buffs” it got were to the very upper front plate near the drivers hatch increased a few degrees in slope, as did the side front armor that angles off to the side hull.
车身来讲,首下以及正面中间那一条的角度也被减少了好多,使得等效装甲下降了好多个百分点。它得到的唯一的“Buff”就是在非常靠近驾驶员那个位置的首上装甲板的倾斜角度加了几度,还有侧前方的装甲板也一样。

Examples:
举栗:

Tiger 2 150mm @ 50 degrees = 233mm effective
虎王150mm装甲板倾斜50度=232mm等效装甲

Vk 4502 A 120mm @ 55 degress = 209mm effective
VK4502 A 120mm装甲板倾斜55度=209mm等效装甲

T32 127mm @ 54 degree = 216mm effective
T32 127mm装甲板倾斜54度=216mm等效装甲

You will not be penning these tanks head on in this crate unless your loading gold or aiming at a weakspot (poor gun acc) while they will be penning you head on with AP.
你在和这些坦克正面对刚的时候,除非你用金币弹或者瞄弱点,否则你是打不穿他们的(但是你还要考虑炮的精度很差),而他们用AP就能随便穿你的脑袋


Mind you this tank is large, very large about as tall as a Maus and almost as long, it’s a driving billboard nothing has trouble hitting you and you have zero camo value.
对了,要记住这车很大,非常大,几乎和鼠式一样高,和鼠式一样长。这就是个移动靶,几乎什么东西想打中你都没问题,而你的伪装系数也趋近于0.

The M6A2E1 use to be slightly more efficient with its size and correct gun length.
金馒头在以前尺寸和炮长度正确的时候还能有点用 

Seems the gun’s length is out of whack as well, no where near as long as on any other tank that mounts it after 8.4.
炮的长度好像也有问题,在8.4以后和其他用这杆炮的坦克相比,炮管长度变短了

Numbers are how tall they were listed as in real life. The models are how tall they are compared to each other in game.
数字是这些车在现实生活中的高度,而模型是告诉你他们在游戏中有多高 

On to the Gun.
回到这杆炮上。

So we have a tank that most enemies you face can just blast away at you with out aiming so surely it must have a redeeming feature like high DPM or amazing penetration etc to counter that?

105mm炮T5E1E 伤害320/320/420  穿深198/245/53mm 射速5.05 百米散布0.42m=1616的DPM
10,5cm KwK46 L/70 伤害320/320/420 穿深234/294/60mm 射速5 百米散布0.33 =1600的DPM
120mm炮 T53A1 伤害400/400/515 穿深248/294/60 射速4 百米散布0.35 = 1600的DPM
The Accuracy is quite poor as at 0.42, it’s only redeming feature is a lower aim time at 2.29 seconds.
精准度很差,只有0.42.唯一的亮点就是在较低的瞄准时间上,需要2.29秒。

Take the Lowe for example which has an amazing gun that does 1600 DPM what is it’s saving grace for having low DPM? amazing accuracy and penetration. The T-34? 1600 DPM combined with a high alpha, amazing penetration and great accuracy. sensing a trend? With the poor stats the M6A2E1 gets you would think they would at a minimum give it a high DPM to make up for the sub par penetration and soft stats, or as they do with the other very low DPM machines give it great accuracy and penetration values.
拿狮式做个例子吧,它的主炮的DPM是1600,但是它得到了什么作为补偿?惊人的精准度以及穿深。那T-34呢?1600的DPM是由单发伤害,穿深以及良好的精准补偿的。发现规律没有?金馒头这破破烂烂的属性,你觉得他们至少应该会把主炮伤害提高,以补偿穿深很低以及属性很差的问题,或者像其他的DPM很低的车一样,将精准和穿深提高。

So do they give it anything to make up for all these shortfalls? perhaps it has amazing view range? 380m not to bad, what about the raido? 570m nope that is quite bad.
所以他们究竟拿什么来补偿所有这些短板项呢?也许是极佳的视野?380m,看起来还不错的样子,那电台呢?570m,这就很差了。

So perhaps it goes really fast and turns on a dime? 24 hull turn and 23 turret traverse it turns just like a Lowe. it does have a better pickup speed but is very limited by it’s max 29kph.

Surely it has a high health rate in much the same way the Lowe and Kv-5 do to make up for all of it’s other failings?

It has 1500 hp.

Suggestions to remedy
1. Buff the gun, higher DPM, better accuracy or penetration.
2. Re-work the Turret armor, the M6A2E1 was using a T29 turret while it looked slightly different the armor values should be roughly the same, remove those 89mm frontal cheeks.
3. Give it an HP boost.
4. Limited match making, this thing should never have to face tier 10 tanks.
建议的补救措施:
1.Buff主炮,更高的DPM,更好的穿深/精准
2.重制炮塔装甲,金面包在用T29的炮塔,看上去有一点不同,但是装甲值应该是差不多的,还要把正面那些89mm的地方都弄掉。
3.加血。
4.分房保护,让它永远不见10级车

All of the above would help to bring it closer in line with every other existing tier 8 heavy/premium.
以上这些手段应该可以把他和其他8级重坦/金币车之间的差距缩小。

If you refuse to do any of the above you could do the following: Drop it to a Tier 7 tank with normal match making leave all the stats as is.
Or leave it how it is and give it the planned hull it was meant to have. (In game the model is using an standard M6 hull, as this is what the testbed in real life used max armor frontal 102mm) they never got around to making the real hull that would have had 191mm frontal as they canceled the program in the end.
如果你拒绝对这辆车做出以上改动的话:把它降到7级,然后给它常规分房,属性啥的都不要动。
或者也什么都别改,就把它原有的车身给它就行了。(游戏中的模型使用的是标准的M6车身,在现实生活中的测试中最大正面装甲厚度是102mm)它们从来就没有要做出那个191mm正面装甲的车身,因为这个计划在最后被腰斩了。

The real thing would have looked something like this.

191mm at that slope? now it would work in tier 10 games it gets into and become semi relevant again if it keeps all the stats the same.
在这个角度上的191mm装甲板?现在在10级房里就会有点用处了,如果属性不动的话,它还是多少能有点用处的。

Another thing they could do.

When hull variants get added in, give the current Tier 6 M6 heavy tank the option to switch to the “M6A2E1” same looks with the model as the current in game one, but with the real stats it had in life. (so a mash up of the current M6 and the M6A2E1 stats)
当可选车身加入游戏后,给现在的6级M6重坦加上一个可以换成现在游戏中“金面包”那个车身外形的选项,但是给它现实生活中的属性(就是把M6和金面包的属性弄在一起)

Give it a much reduced rate of fire, tweak some of the soft stats, view range etc and obviously it would still have the rest of the M6’s equipment + health and you now have a tier 6 heavy somewhat like the Soviet KV-1S.
把射速大幅度降低,调整几个软数据,例如视野什么的,剩下的装备就用M6的,血量也是。现在你就有了个和苏联的KV-1S差不多的6级重坦了。

Another way they could balance the tank is giving it greater pen or damage to bring it in line with other tier 8 heavies that have to face tier 10 tanks (T34/Lowe etc) In game the 105mm gun it uses is the T5E1E, so they can easily modify it’s specs and shell usage with out effecting the T29 or the T32’s 105mm T5E1.

They tested a new AP round in the T5E1 that was made for the both it and the 105mm T140 gun. It was tested against 127mm @ 55 deg = 221mm at 1000 yards out.

In game the T54E1 medium tank uses the T140 gun, it gets 210mm penetration with that same T182 AP round, they could give that AP round to the M6A2E1.
他们在T5E1上测试了一种新的AP弹,这种AP弹是可以用在它和105mm T140炮上的。它的目标是一块倾斜55度的127mm装甲板,等效221mm。发射距离为1000码,(约为914m)。测试结果在这里。

The tank is slow enough, large enough that it wouldn’t be overpowered and would still easily be taken out at that tier by fast movers or anyone who can aim.
Then they give the current tier 8 one the slopped hull I listed in the last post (with it’s current armor stats intact)
这辆坦克很慢,又很大,他又不是很OP,所以它就会被同级的机动性很好的车和那些能够瞄准的人几下就干掉了。

This would kill two birds with one stone, all the people constantly bugging WG for an M6A2E1 of their own can get one, while buffing the current tier 8 one and still leaving it quite unique for owners with the sloped frontal armor.

Recall the M6A2e1 turret was in reality an early T29 turret.
要记得M6A2E1炮塔其实就是早期的T29炮塔

and if you havnt figured this out yet. the M6A2E1 is a PRE T29. it was meant to test the 105mm gun and new hull armor. it was pretty much just throwing an experiment at a wall to see what sticks. so the M6A2E1 hull (is different from an M6 and T1 hull, T1E1 is ON the M6A2E1 in game currently) had a 102mm frontal armor at a degrees slope to give it 191mm frontal armor.
如果你能发现这点的话。金面包其实就是个早期版的T29,它被制作出来的意义是测试105mm炮和新的车身装甲。基本就是拿来做测试玩意啦,所以金面包的车身(和M6和T1的车身还不一样,T1E1现在就在游戏内金面包的身上)的正面装甲厚度是102mm,倾斜了一定角度之后,将它正面装甲 的等效算成了191mm。


When you look at the turret compared to the T29’s shape from above, the sloping looks like it should be the roughly the same for both.

Then when you look in game you get whats seen to the right

T29 has a much more pronounced slope for it’s front/side armor, basically making it bullet proof if shot from the front there.

Not to mention that is 178mm of armor slopped like that at the front, then 127 for the entire side that does not in anyway extended into the front of the turret like on the M6A2E1.

Even the technical drawing shows the gun should be larger.

Hinges on the hatches count as Vision ports for some reason.

I think they added this when at one point they looked at the drawing and saw them, then mixed them up with the other hull and assumed the hinges were view ports.

ontop of that the GUN MANTEL (the shield looking thing that the gun sticks out of and moves when the barrel moves) is MUCH larger in reality.

You can see the two vision devices that would have been added to replace the drivers hatch view port.

T1 and the T1E4 ended up canceled early on. The T1E2 became the M6 heavy tank, and the T1E3 became the M6A1 heavy tank. the T1E1 had an electric drive transmission and would only be used by the U.S. Army.

Some things to note, the M6 in game visually is the (T1E2)M6, armor model wise it is the (T1E3)M6A1 (a bug I suppose they meant to make it look like the welded version)
The M6A2E1 was built on the U.S. Army produced version of the tank (T1E1), yet in game they made some errors and basically copied the lend lease M6 hull instead of the T1E1.

alright.
来,开始。 

A. first off look at the neck of the 2 tanks. the one on the bottom is using a T1E1 hull (not the M6A2E1 hull which was historically different then the M6 hull), but even then nearly all T1s and M6s had a “neck guard” or “splash shield” separating the turret and the hull. splash guards were attached to protect turret rings from shell splinters, increased armor from anti-material weapons, fragmentation, lower caliber high explosives. etc… the M6A2E1 on the top (the one in game) obviously doesn’t have one or is TOO small. in game mechanics, this neck guard would be considered “Spaced Armor” with the turrets primary armor behind it.
A.首先看看这两辆坦克的脖子,底下那张图用的是T1E1的车身(并不是历史上那个和M6车身有区别的M6A2E1车身),即使这样,所有的T1们和M6们都有从炮塔以及车身中独立出来的“脖套”或者“溅射护盾”。溅射护盾的作用是保护炮塔座圈免受炮弹碎片的袭击,可以提高装甲对反器材武器的防护能力,碎片,小口径HE弹之类的……上面的M6A2E1(游戏里的)显然就没有这个护盾,或者说太小了。在游戏的机制中,溅射护盾应该算作“间隙装甲”,把炮塔的主要装甲给藏在后面。

B. the ammo rack or the back of the turret. as you can compare, the one from in game has the back of the head bulging out and the 1 in reality  has it caved in, having it sorta caved in wold help with its week sides a bit with sloping, and prevent the thing from being ammo racked EVERY 5th GAME YOU GET INTO…
B.炮塔后面的弹药架。正如你所看到的,游戏里面的后脑勺有点向外突,而现实生活中那个版本是向里凹的, 而向内凹可以通过给侧面创造一些斜面来保护那脆弱的侧面,还能够防止这东西每5局就爆一次的弹药架……

C. I think it’s worth getting across more just how thick the tracks and everything in them are before you actually even hit the hull wall. look at the skirt (the plate of armor to guard the gear box) now in game the gear box for all the T1, M6, and M6A2E1 is 20mm thick armor. this is shooting threw the gearbox to damage the tank. NOT shooting the gear wheels to track the vehicle (well it wouldn’t matter for the M6A2E1 anyways cuz its never gotten a hitbox edit, so youd shoot anywhere at the treds and track me, it, what ever)… back to the subject.  the hull was much thicker then 20mm. its 44mm on the sides, but even if it stayd at 20mm – you have that skirt there to add -25mm- protection. the tank also had many reinforced armored struts filling any possible space that is left to reinforce the skirt and protect the hull.
C.我认为现在是时候考虑一下在打到车身装甲板之前的履带以及其它东西到底有多厚了。看看侧边(就是护着齿轮箱的装甲板)。游戏内所有T1,M6以及M6A2E1的齿轮箱都只有20mm厚。这可是要击穿齿轮箱再对坦克本身造成伤害,而不是射击齿轮箱来让坦克瘫痪(对于M6A2E1倒是不要紧,因为它的碰撞模型从来没改过,所以你随便打打履带都能让我瘫痪,随便啦)……跑题了。车身总之比20mm要厚,侧面是44密码,但是就算它还是保持20mm不变—那个侧边版还能加上25mm的防护。这辆坦克还有许多增强过的装甲层塞在车身各处可以塞进去的地方,来保护车身。

as you can see from the top right part of this pic, you have 4 squares. 2 of which are empty and would probably be considers spaced armor.

then you have the 2 back squares which hold the aux battery and the fire extinguisher. youd think these would be week spots but they would be the opposite. (the T1E1 and M6A2E1 would not have this) But they do seem to still have the armored compartment for it

there have been many complaints that the M6A2E1 has had even simple bugs. like so.

-such as the penetration indicator changing red (means able to penetrate that spot), but the gun wont pen its armor. this is actually very common in my M6A2E1 as well.

-the gear box hit boxes not correct (i looked at this one, and about half the US HTs have this issue)

-frontal bug issues (this is some what true. the armor is suppose to be 191mm slanted. so that saying, the current sloping of the M6A2E1’s frontal armor is not sloped enough to have that kind of armor, and for that matter its a shell ABSORBER, it doesn’t deflect them with a surface thats nearly 90* to the enemy’s gun.)

a wile ago a dev from russia (thanks to Google translate) said this after i asked why its a bad cred maker. he responded “M6A2E1 is a promo tank, it doesn’t get the credit bonus like the regular premium tanks”

if this hasnt convinced you, THEN! -if the M6A2E1 is 7500 gold. then why is the T34 worth 12,500 gold? the FCM is 11,900 gold?, Lowe is 12,500 gold?, and the IS-6 is 11,900 gold? we got an atleast 4,400 worth of gold gap here… come on. the only tanks that are this low in price are like the SU-144-22, the E-25, and the AT-15A. which are ALL tier 7s
如果以上还没能说服你的话,那么!如果M6AA2E1是7500G,那为什么T34卖12500G?FCM卖11900G?狮式卖12500G?IS-6要卖11900G?至少还有4400G的空间可以用啊……这是唯一一辆价格低到和SU-122-44,E-25以及AT-15A一样的车了。而它们都是7级车。

  4. 我觉得这车应该改 以前6级车都进10级房 凑合个馒头没什么大问题 见得10级车又少 现在出了很多车了 馒头分房进9 10 11看起来有点不公平了
    应该修改一下等级或者提高一下穿身 我偏向于提高穿身 和分房等级 其他数据不用改吧 跪求修改分房等级和穿身 这样才能在8 9级房公平些 我qq 1751296096
