there seems to be some confusion about the announced removal of battletier 12 in 8.11 (on Tuesday), so I\u2019d like to shed some light on the issue. Personally, I was just as confused as you are, but in the end, I think I understood what the developers meant by this and it is a pretty elegant solution indeed.
\n\u8c8c\u4f3c\u81ea\u4ece\u524d\u51e0\u5929\u8bf4\u8fc7\u8981\u79fb\u9664\u7b2c12\u7ea7\u6218\u6597\u7b49\u7ea7\u4e4b\u540e\uff0c\u5c31\u4e00\u76f4\u5b58\u5728\u7740\u4e00\u4e9b\u8ff7\u60d1\u7684\u58f0\u97f3\uff0c\u6240\u4ee5\u6211\u51b3\u5b9a\u5bf9\u8fd9\u4e2a\u95ee\u9898\u8fdb\u884c\u4e00\u4e0b\u8bf4\u660e\u3002\u5c31\u6211\u4e2a\u4eba\u6765\u8bb2\uff0c\u6211\u548c\u4f60\u4eec\u6709\u7740\u5dee\u4e0d\u591a\u7684\u7591\u95ee\u3002\u4f46\u662f\u5728\u6700\u540e\uff0c\u6211\u60f3\u6211\u660e\u767d\u4e86\u4e3a\u4ec0\u4e48\u5f00\u53d1\u56e2\u961f\u8981\u8fd9\u4e48\u641e\uff0c\u800c\u8fd9\u53c8\u662f\u4e00\u4e2a\u591a\u4e48\u7b80\u5355\u660e\u4e86\u7684\u89e3\u51b3\u65b9\u6848\u3002<\/span><\/p>\n

For starters,\u00a0what does it mean for tier 8 tanks?<\/strong>\u00a0Will they meet tier 10\u2032s more often?<\/strong>\u00a0The answer is\u00a0\u201cno\u201d<\/strong>. Balance-wise, it means absolutely nothing. Why does it mean nothing? Well, because there is this rule that a vehicle has to be spread equally over battletiers, that trumps everything else. In other words, it is a game mechanism that you will spend equal amount of time on all the battletiers. Keep in mind that this rule does work over your entire tank statistic, so \u201cstreaks\u201d of you at the top (or bottom) are completely possible (I better say this before anyone starts moaning again about \u201crigged\u201d MM). By the way, remember that \u201cfamous\u201d post by a developer, where he said the better you play, the worse MM you get? Yea, that\u2019s garbage, it was debunked several times even by Storm.
\n\u5bf9\u4e8e\u521d\u5fc3\u8005\u6765\u8bf4\uff0c\u8fd9\u5bf98\u7ea7\u8f66\u610f\u5473\u7740\u4ec0\u4e48\uff1f\u5b83\u4eec\u4f1a\u4e0d\u4f1a\u78b0\u89c1\u66f4\u591a\u768410\u7ea7\u8f66\uff1f<\/strong>\u7b54\u6848\u662f\u201c\u4e0d\u4f1a\u7684\u201d\u3002\u4ece\u5e73\u8861\u89d2\u5ea6\u6765\u8bb2\uff0c\u8fd9\u4e48\u505a\u5176\u5b9e\u4e00\u70b9\u5f71\u54cd\u90fd\u6ca1\u6709\u3002\u4e3a\u4ec0\u4e48\u5462\uff1f\u56e0\u4e3a\u5206\u623f\u65f6\u6709\u4e00\u6761\u89c4\u5219\uff0c\u9700\u8981\u6bcf\u8f86\u8f66\u7684\u6218\u6597\u90fd\u8981\u5747\u5300\u7684\u5206\u5e03\u5728\u5404\u4e2a\u6218\u6597\u7b49\u7ea7\u4e2d\uff0c \u800c\u8fd9\u6761\u89c4\u5219\u53c8\u51cc\u9a7e\u4e8e\u6240\u4ee5\u89c4\u5219\u4e4b\u4e0a\u3002\u6362\u53e5\u8bdd\u8bf4\uff0c\u8fd9\u662f\u6e38\u620f\u7684\u4e00\u79cd\u673a\u5236\uff0c\u8ba9\u4f60\u5728\u6e38\u620f\u4e2d\u6240\u6709\u7684\u6218\u6597\u7b49\u7ea7\u4e0a\u82b1\u8d39\u540c\u6837\u7684\u65f6\u95f4\u8fdb\u884c\u6e38\u620f\u3002\u8bf7\u8bb0\u4f4f\u8fd9\u6761\u89c4\u5219\u9002\u7528\u4e8e\u4f60\u7684\u6574\u4e2a\u5766\u514b\u7684\u6570\u636e\uff0c\u6240\u4ee5\u4f60\u201c\u8fde\u7eed\u201d\u7684\u505a\u4e86\u73ed\u957f\uff08\u6216\u8005\u4f5c\u4e3a\u57ab\u5e95\u8f66\uff09\u8fdb\u5165\u6218\u6597\u90fd\u662f\u6709\u53ef\u80fd\u7684\uff08\u6211\u6700\u597d\u5148\u628a\u8fd9\u4e8b\u6311\u660e\u4e86\uff0c\u7701\u5f97\u6709\u4eba\u4f1a\u62b1\u6028\u8bf4\u5206\u623f\u90fd\u662f\u201c\u5185\u5b9a\u7684\u201d\uff09\u3002\u987a\u4fbf\u4e00\u8bf4\uff0c\u8bb0\u4e0d\u8bb0\u5f97\u6709\u4e2a\u5f00\u53d1\u56e2\u961f\u4e58\u5458\u975e\u5e38\u201c\u8457\u540d\u201d\u7684\u4e00\u8d34\uff0c\u91cc\u9762\u8bf4\u4f60\u73a9\u7684\u8d8a\u597d\uff0c\u5206\u623f\u8d8a\u70c2\uff1f\u6ca1\u9519\uff0c\u90a3\u4e1c\u897f\u5c31\u662f\u5768\u5c4e\uff0c\u5b83\u751a\u81f3\u90fd\u88abStorm\u63ed\u7a7f\u4e86\u597d\u51e0\u6b21\u3002<\/span><\/p>\n

Let\u2019s have a look at the tier 8,9 and 10 battletier spreads.

Removing battletier 12 will mean two things. First, it\u2019s a de-facto buff of tier 8 light tanks, their MM spread will be limited by one, which means the time they spent on that battletier will be distributed to the (easier) battletiers. Second, as I said, it means nothing for tier 8 vehicles (they won\u2019t get any worse MM), but they will get shorter queues.
\n\u79fb\u9664\u7b2c12\u7ea7\u6218\u6597\u7b49\u7ea7\u610f\u5473\u7740\u4ee5\u4e0b\u4e24\u4ef6\u4e8b\u3002 \u9996\u5148\uff0c\u8fd9\u5bf9\u4e8e8\u7ea7\u8f7b\u5766\u6765\u8bf4\u7edd\u5bf9\u662f\u4e2aBuff\uff0c\u5b83\u4eec\u7684MM\u5206\u90e8\u5c31\u4f1a\u5c11\u4e00\u7ea7\uff0c\u4e5f\u5c31\u610f\u5473\u7740\u4ed6\u4eec\u5728\u90a3\u4e2a\u6218\u6597\u7b49\u7ea7\u4e0a\u6240\u82b1\u8d39\u7684\u65f6\u95f4\u4f1a\u88ab\u5206\u914d\u5230\u5176\u4ed6\uff08\u7b80\u5355\u4e00\u4e9b\u7684\uff09\u6218\u6597\u7b49\u7ea7\u4e0a\u3002\u7b2c\u4e8c\uff0c\u5982\u540c\u6211\u8bf4\u8fc7\u7684\u4e00\u6837\uff0c\u8fd9\u5bf9\u4e8e8\u7ea7\u8f66\u5176\u5b9e\u6ca1\u6709\u5f71\u54cd\uff08\u56e0\u4e3a\u5206\u623f\u6ca1\u6709\u53d8\u5dee\uff09\uff0c\u4f46\u662f\u4ed6\u4eec\u7684\u6392\u961f\u65f6\u95f4\u4f1a\u53d8\u77ed\u3002<\/span><\/p>\n

You see, tier 8 is very popular. Obviously there are the \u201cgrind machines\u201d (tier 8 premiums), but tier 8 is also the first tier, where you spend a significant amount of time playing a vehicle. In short, there are many of those tanks in the queue and that caused long tier 8 queues on Russian server. I haven\u2019t noticed the same issue on EU server, but it can happen I guess.
\n\u4f60\u770b\uff0c8\u7ea7\u8f66\u5f88\u706b\u70ed\u7684\u30028\u7ea7\u8f66\u90fd\u662f\u201c\u6253\u94b1\u673a\u5668\u201d\uff088\u7ea7\u91d1\u5e01\u8f66\uff09\uff0c\u4f46\u662f8\u7ea7\u53c8\u662f\u4f60\u7684\u7b2c\u4e00\u4e2a\u8981\u82b1\u8d39\u5927\u91cf\u65f6\u95f4\u53bb\u73a9\u7684\u5766\u514b\u3002\u603b\u800c\u8a00\u4e4b\uff0c\u8fd9\u91cc\u6709\u8bb8\u591a\u5728\u6392\u961f8\u7ea7\u8f66\uff0c\u8fd9\u4e5f\u5c31\u8ba9\u6bdb\u670d\u76848\u7ea7\u8f66\u7b49\u5f85\u65f6\u95f4\u53d8\u5f97\u5f88\u957f\u3002\u6211\u5728\u6b27\u670d\u4e0a\u6ca1\u6709\u6ce8\u610f\u5230\u8fd9\u4e2a\u95ee\u9898\uff0c\u4f46\u662f\u6211\u89c9\u5f97\u8fd9\u60c5\u51b5\u6709\u53ef\u80fd\u4f1a\u53d1\u751f\u3002\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

So, why are there long queues on tier 8? After all, there are tons of tier 8 tanks in the queue, let\u2019s just match them together, right? Wrong. This is where the even battletier spread rule I mentioned above works against you \u2013 yes, there are tons of tier 8 tanks waiting in the queue, but all of the waiters are not waiting on free server space or whatever, they are waiting for tier 9 and 10 tanks, because even spread rule forces them into hightier battles once in a while. So, the reason of tier 8 waiting queues is not the abundance of tier 8 tanks, it\u2019s the lack of tier 9 and tier 10 tanks so to say.
\n\u4e3a\u4ec0\u4e48\u53ea\u67098\u7ea7\u8f66\u7684\u6392\u961f\u65f6\u95f4\u8fd9\u4e48\u957f\u5462\uff1f\u4f60\u770b\uff0c\u961f\u5217\u91cc\u6709\u8fd9\u4e48\u591a\u76848\u7ea7\u8f66\uff0c\u628a\u4ed6\u4eec\u90fd\u64ae\u5408\u5230\u4e00\u8d77\u7136\u540e\u5f00\u7eaf8\u7ea7\u623f\u5c31\u597d\u4e86\u561b\uff0c\u5bf9\u5427\uff1f\u4e0d\u6210\u3002\u8fd9\u5c31\u662f\u6211\u5728\u4e0a\u9762\u63d0\u5230\u7684\u6218\u6597\u7b49\u7ea7\u5206\u5e03\u5f00\u59cb\u8d77\u4f5c\u7528\u7684\u65f6\u5019\u2014\u6ca1\u9519\uff0c\u5728\u961f\u5217\u4e2d\u7684\u786e\u662f\u6709\u4e00\u5927\u5806\u76848\u7ea7\u8f66\uff0c\u4f46\u662f\u6240\u6709\u5728\u7b49\u5f85\u7684\u4eba\u5e76\u4e0d\u662f\u5728\u7b49\u7a7a\u95f2\u7684\u670d\u52a1\u5668\u4f4d\u7f6e\u6216\u8005\u5176\u4ed6\u4ec0\u4e48\u9b3c\u4e1c\u897f\uff0c\u4ed6\u4eec\u5176\u5b9e\u662f\u5728\u7b49\u2468\u7ea7\u548c10\u7ea7\u8f66\uff0c\u56e0\u4e3a\u6218\u6597\u7b49\u7ea7\u5206\u5e03\u8fd9\u6761\u89c4\u5219\u8981\u6c42\u4ed6\u4eec\u8981\u8fdb\u5165\u9ad8\u7ea7\u623f\u6253\u4e00\u4f1a\u3002\u6240\u4ee5\uff0c8\u7ea7\u8f66\u7b49\u5f85\u65f6\u95f4\u8fc7\u957f\u7684\u539f\u56e0\u5e76\u4e0d\u662f\u8fc7\u91cf\u76848\u7ea7\u8f66\uff0c\u800c\u662f\u2468\u7ea7\u548c10\u7ea7\u8f66\u8fc7\u5c11\u7684\u95ee\u9898\u3002<\/span><\/p>\n

Now, why would tier 10 tanks be missing from the tier 8 queue? Simple. They have their own extra battletier, battletier 12 (those battles with tier 10\u2032s only plus a few tier 8 scouts? Yea, that\u2019s battletier 12). This is their \u201cown league\u201d no other tier can touch and by removing it, you \u201cfree up\u201d all those tier 10 tanks, that would otherwise be occupied on battletier 12, to be mixed in with the tier 8\u2032s. Again, please keep in mind that this does NOT mean you will see more tier 10\u2032s in your tier 8 tank (even battletier spread rule!), it means only that the tier 8 waiting times will be shorter due to the influx of tier 10 tanks, for which the tier 8\u2032s were originally waiting.
\n\u73b0\u5728\u8981\u6765\u8bf4\u8bf4\u4e3a\u4ec0\u4e488\u7ea7\u8f66\u7684\u961f\u5217\u4e2d\u8001\u662f\u5c1110\u7ea7\u8f66\u5462\uff1f\u5f88\u7b80\u5355\u3002\u56e0\u4e3a10\u7ea7\u8f66\u6709\u81ea\u5df1\u7684\u989d\u5916\u7684\u6218\u6597\u7b49\u7ea7\uff0c\u7b2c12\u7ea7\uff08\u5c31\u662f\u53ea\u670910\u7ea7\u8f66\uff0c\u7136\u540e\u4e00\u4e9b8\u7ea7\u773c\u8f66\u7684\u5206\u623f\u3002\u6ca1\u9519\uff0c\u90a3\u5c31\u662f\u7b2c12\u7ea7\u5206\u623f\uff09\u3002\u8fd9\u662f\u4ed6\u4eec\u81ea\u5df1\u7684\u201c\u8054\u76df\u201d\uff0c\u5176\u4ed6\u7b49\u7ea7\u7684\u8f66\u90fd\u8fdb\u4e0d\u53bb\u3002\u800c\u901a\u8fc7\u79fb\u9664\u7b2c12\u7ea7\u5462\uff0c\u8fd9\u4e9b10\u7ea7\u8f66\u5c31\u88ab\u89e3\u653e\u4e86\u51fa\u6765\uff0c\u800c\u8fd9\u4e9b\u8f66\u539f\u672c\u5e94\u8be5\u5446\u5728\u7b2c12\u7ea7\u4e2d\u7684\uff0c\u4ed6\u4eec\u73b0\u5728\u5c31\u88ab\u62c9\u53bb\u548c8\u7ea7\u8f66\u6253\u4e86\u3002\u6211\u518d\u91cd\u7533\u4e00\u6b21\uff0c\u8bf7\u8bb0\u4f4f\u8fd9\u4e48\u505a\uff08\u79fb\u9664\u7b2c12\u7ea7\uff09\u5e76\u4e0d<\/strong>\u610f\u5473\u7740\u4f60\u5728\u73a98\u7ea7\u8f66\u65f6\u4f1a\u770b\u5230\u66f4\u591a\u768410\u7ea7\u8f66\uff08\u6218\u6597\u7b49\u7ea7\u5e73\u5747\u5206\u5e03\uff01\uff09\uff0c\u5b83\u53ea\u610f\u5473\u77408\u7ea7\u8f66\u7684\u7b49\u5f85\u65f6\u95f4\u7531\u4e8e10\u7ea7\u8f66\u7684\u52a0\u5165\u800c\u53d8\u77ed\u4e86\uff0c\u800c\u8fd9\uff0810\u7ea7\u8f66\uff09\u6b63\u662f\u4ee5\u524d8\u7ea7\u8f66\u5728\u7b49\u7684\u4e1c\u897f\u3002<\/span><\/p>\n
