as announced earlier, T-55A appeared on the supertest as a German tier 9 reward\/event tank. It\u2019s official designation is \u201cT-55A NVA DDR\u201d. The designation reads:
\n\u5982\u540c\u65e9\u4e9b\u65f6\u5019\u8bf4\u8fc7\u7684\u4e00\u6837\uff0cT-55A\u51fa\u73b0\u5728\u4e86\u8d85\u6d4b\u670d\u4e0a\uff0c\u5b83\u662f\u4e00\u8f86\u2468\u7ea7\u7684\u5956\u52b1\/\u6d3b\u52a8\u5766\u514b\u3002\u5b83\u7684\u5b98\u65b9\u540d\u79f0\u662f\u201cT-55A NVA DDR\u201d\u3002\u8f66\u8f86\u63cf\u8ff0\u5982\u4e0b\uff1a

The T-55A is an improved variant of the T-55 tank. It differs from the T-55 by the absence of the AA machinegun and improved WMD protection. Roughly 1800 T-55 and T-55A tanks were exported from USSR to DDR between 1962 and 1970.
